Duties
- Conduct quick oil changes, including filter replacements, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform tire rotations, tire replacements, balancing, and basic alignment checks to optimize vehicle safety and performance.
- Replace brake pads, brake rotors, and other basic brake components as needed.
- Replace worn or damaged belts, including serpentine and accessory belts, following manufacturer guidelines.
- Replace exterior and interior vehicle bulbs, including headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals.
- Inspect vehicles for fluid levels, brake conditions, tire wear, belt condition, bulb operation, and other routine maintenance needs.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and safely.
- Assist customers by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance or repairs when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Support the service team with vehicle diagnostics and minor repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership or automotive repair experience preferred, especially in fast-service environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, oil change procedures, tire service, brake replacement, belt replacement, bulb replacement, and basic alignments.
- Proven ability to lift heavy objects safely during maintenance tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Service technician experience is highly valued; automotive service certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, brake systems, tire service, belt replacement, lighting systems, and mechanical systems.
