Job Summary:
The Supervisor directs activities of department staff, assigning work, monitoring results, responsible in all aspects of the assigned daily shift operations of healthcare environmental cleaning services. Responsible for evaluations and training of employees. Directly supervises union housekeeping personnel as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Directs, supervises and monitors results of staff employees.
- Prepares and submits employee evaluations to managers for approval.
- Trains new employees and retrains existing employees as needed.
- Performs quality control inspections and responsible for high standards.
- Counsels employees as needed and reports results to manager.
- Handles daily departmental issues as they arise following departmental procedures.
- Assist with employee scheduling, monitor employee time and attendance.
- Ensures employees follow proper dress and code and proper conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must wear supervisor uniform and comply with all departmental work rules.
- Must have knowledge of all department policies and procedures.
- Must be willing to assist in the event of an emergency at the facility.
- Will receive training in disaster preparedness and must be prepared to respond.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
- Adequate written and oral English language skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Must be able to make decisions and lead by example.
- Must be available all shifts, 24 hours / 7 day per week operations.
- May be required to drive a company vehicle.

Must perform duties in a manner that assures confidentiality, privacy, dignity and safety of patients, visitors, and staff at all times.
