Texwin is seeking a Fabricator (Welder) to join our team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Weld galvanized steel tubing according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment such as MIG welders.
- Verify conformance of work piece to specifications using square, ruler and measuring tapes.
- Performs visual inspection of welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintains a clean and organized work space.
- Collaborates with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including quality control and safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to use and read measuring devices including tape measures, square, rulers.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
- Abiltiy to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years of welding experience, galvanized metal welding experience preferred.
- Welding certifications a plus, but not preferred.
- Previous experience in the metal building industry a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as reach, climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
- Must be able to operate power tools.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 50 lbs.
- Must wear required PPE, including a respirator, while welding.
