Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design and mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment to identify issues before they escalate, ensuring continuous operation.
- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance on related systems to support HVAC functionality.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical problems and repair mechanical components.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks involving appliance repair, boiler servicing, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Document all service activities accurately in logs and reports while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, refrigeration cycles, plumbing systems, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and field service procedures.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and welding equipment effectively.
- Experience with property maintenance tasks such as equipment repair and general mechanical work.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving
vehicles is a plus. - Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R equipment is highly desirable.
