Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced patent and trademark searches, including freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses.
- Monitor competitor intellectual property activity and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the IP attorney to develop and execute strategies for expanding and strengthening the IP portfolio.
- Oversee the patent applications and Office Action responses by outside counsel with minimal oversight.
- Coordinate with inventors and technical teams to capture innovations and prepare invention disclosures.
- Maintain patent marking websites and ensure ongoing legal compliance.
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other IP-related contracts.
- Support the IP attorney and outside counsel in intellectual property litigation, including evidence gathering and technical analysis.
- Implement and continuously improve internal IP processes, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal standards.
- Advise and train business on IP strategy, risk assessment, IP management database, and portfolio development.
