JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledgeable in strategic supply chain principles and provides input into supply chain strategies supporting company/department objectives.
- Maintains and supports timely control of amendments, SOW changes, extensions, and other required documentation to assure orderly administration and retention of records.
- Complies with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, import/export regulations, and employs sound business practice.
- Possesses financial analytical skills necessary to review contractual agreements, perform cost comparisons, utilize pre-existing pricing formulas.
- Demonstrates negotiation skills necessary to secure price, delivery schedule, terms & conditions for Pricing Agreements (PAs), Master Purchasing Agreements (MPAs), and/or other related contract agreements
- Negotiate/Administer Long Term Agreements and Pricing Agreements as required, identifying cost savings initiatives as planned and forecasted.
- Read and interpret supplier agreements/contracts.
- Drafts, negotiates, and obtains management approval for contractual Long-Term Agreements, Pricing Agreements.
- Develops and implements negotiation strategies that have financial and risk impacts to the company.
- Leads supplier contract negotiations and re-negotiations in support of Textron’s and business unit strategic direction.
- May act as informal mentor to peers by providing guidance, training, support, etc.
- Manages responsibilities with management approval.
Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience required
- In lieu of degree, minimum 9 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or other related field.
- Aviation Supply Chain contracts experience preferred
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Careful attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Proficient to advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to influence without authority and exhibits managerial courage
- Ability to leverage business acumen
- Exposure to supply chain processes, sourcing, and vendor contract management preferred
