NPI Buyer
Summary
The Position is responsible for the Requirement Planning, Sourcing, Procurement, PO generation, and delivery schedule to ensure that all needed materials are available for customer and production demands.
Responsibilities
· Accurate and timely processing of all purchase orders according to Texon USA's standard process.
· Procures all products to necessary dock dates to ensure on-time production starts per the production schedule and/or on-time delivery to customers.
· Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers; and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
· Closely work on the day-to-day business relationship with key suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/ volume/ delivery time changes, issue resolution, follow up on backorders, etc.
· Maintain effective working relationships with all assigned suppliers.
· Contribute to the cost savings goal
· Ensure materials are utilized to minimize excess and obsolescence exposure
· Participate in cross-functional teams chartered to perform Supply Chain, Procurement and Sourcing related continual improvement and/or problem solving.
· Formulate strategies to monitor, publish, and provide reports to management
· Take corrective action to eliminate non-performing vendors.
Requirements and Qualifications
· BS or AA in Supply Chain Management/Business/Engineering or related field required
· Minimum of 5 years purchasing/supply chain experience
· Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and a basic understanding of the materials and supply chain management functions
· Ability to analyze data and provide insights from data
· Strong interpersonal skills; Able to forge internal customer and external supplier relationships
· Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization
· Experience with ERP system (SAP plus)
· Manufacturing site experience plus
· Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications''Work Remotely
