About the Position

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide individualized, compassionate care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. You will work closely with patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve their highest level of function and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients in their home environment and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
  • Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to patients in the home.
  • Treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders resulting from stroke, neurological conditions, illness, injury, or other medical conditions.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment techniques, safety, and strategies to improve communication and swallowing.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in care coordination and help ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Current Speech Language Pathology license in the State of Texas.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.
  • Current automobile liability insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel to patients' homes throughout the Killeen and surrounding service area.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the clinical team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Home health experience is preferred but not required.

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
