As a Compliance and Risk Officer/Manager, you will:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for compliance and risk management programs, working collaboratively across departments and with credit union leadership to guide policies, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Be responsible for the BSA/AML program and formalizing existing compliance management systems.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, ensuring timely dissemination and necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Manage, coach and mentor a small team of compliance staff who may have some operational duties.
We need you to have:
- At least 5 years of experience in bank or credit union compliance.
- 2 to 3 years of management experience and bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Awareness of current fraud trends and ability to understand technical controls to mitigate fraud risk.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams to foster a proactive culture of compliance and risk awareness.
