Compliance and Risk Officer

As a Compliance and Risk Officer/Manager, you will:

• Provide leadership and direction for compliance and risk management programs, working collaboratively across departments and with credit union leadership to guide policies, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
• Be responsible for the credit unions compliance program and formalizing existing compliance management systems.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations, ensuring timely dissemination of information to company leadership and necessary updates to policies and procedures.
• Manage, coach and mentor a small team of compliance staff who may have some operational duties.

We need you to have:

• At least 5 years of experience in bank or credit union compliance.
• 2 to 3 years of management experience and bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Awareness of current fraud trends and ability to understand technical controls to mitigate fraud risk.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams to foster a proactive culture of compliance and risk awareness.
