This position is within the accounting group of a hotel management company. The position is responsible for the accurate and timely distribution of partnership-level financials, as well as managing the accounting, tax, A/P and payroll teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Directs the work activities and has management responsibility for the performance and development of subordinate staff in accordance with corporate strategic direction.
- Develops, implements and administers accounting policies, procedures and practices.
- Ensures accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results.
- Performs financial statement and balance sheet review and analysis.
- Ensures maintenance of general ledger, payables and cash.
- Supports/Stands-In for Payroll Coordinator.
- Makes work assignments, schedules and reviews work in progress.
- Determines the proper accounting treatment of transactions.
- Supervises preparation of and approves reports.
- Acts as liaison between Management and Owners.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Preferred industry experience includes hospitality, third party management or real estate
- Knowledge of consolidation within a partnership preferred
- Management experience is required
- Ability to travel as needed (approximately 4-6 times per year)

- High level knowledge of accounting/finance principles, practices and procedures and industry issues as they relate to the organization, and senior-level knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting procedures.
- High level knowledge of payroll principles and applications.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

- Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have an impact on people and quality of service.
- Strong computer skills including Excel and accounting software systems.
