Surgical Scrub Technician – Part Time (PRN)
Texas Vision has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Surgical Scrub Technician to join our ophthalmology practice, helping with surgery days at our Temple, TX location.
At Texas Vision, we offer our very own In-Office Surgical Suite that provides Cataracts and Lens Replacement surgeries!!
This position would offer a flexible schedule with all the fulfillment of being an integral part of a patient’s transition to clearer vision. Hours will vary, with 6-12 hours each week. No weekends! This would be a great opportunity to make good money on the side for a few hours each week.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
- Following and maintaining proper sterile techniques for procedures during local anesthesia.
- Setting up equipment in preparation for surgery day.
- Cleaning and sterilizing tools that are necessary for the operation
- Making sure all equipment is working properly
- Assisting and anticipating needs of physicians during surgery
- Restocking and cleaning operating room before and after procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Certified Scrub Technologist (CST) required
- Experience as a surgical scrub tech. Cataract Surgery experience required.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeons.
- Familiarity with all surgical instruments.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Consistent ability to coordinate tasks and actions with a team.
- Excellent active listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Persistent arm-hand steadiness and manual dexterity.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
