Job Overview
Texas Unplugged is a unique wildlife ranch and experiential hospitality destination in Groesbeck, Texas. We offer immersive safari-style stays alongside exotic animal encounters, combining luxury accommodations with hands-on wildlife experiences.
We're looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who is passionate about animal care and enjoys working outdoors. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to grow as our ranch continues to expand.
Responsibilities
- Feed and care for exotic and large animals
- Monitor animal health and behavior
- Clean and maintain animal enclosures
- Assist with animal enrichment activities
- Assist with basic animal training
- Help prepare habitats and feeding areas
- Assist with guest animal encounters when needed
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment
Qualifications
A Plus if you have:
- Experience working with livestock, exotic animals, wildlife, or zoos
- Animal Science, Agriculture, Wildlife, or Veterinary background
Required:
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently
- Positive attitude
- Must be dependable and punctual
Compensation
- $15–20/hour depending on experience
- On-site housing may be available
- RV spaces available for employees who wish to bring their own RV
- Opportunities for advancement into leadership positions as the ranch grows
