TALENT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST I
Role Responsibilities
Design and deliver Credit Union training programs with primary focus on sales, products, services, processes, procedures, systems, and compliance. Duties include:
- Design and Development:
o Design and develop BSA and other compliance training as needed.
o Continually assess, develop, update, and implement new learning activities and methodologies.
o Update learning materials as needed.
o Design and develop other training classes.
- Facilitation and Coaching:
o Coach team members to improve operational skills, service skills and sales skills in all departments and all branch office locations (travel to branch offices required).
o Facilitate BSA and other compliance training.
o Facilitate products and services training classes.
o Assist in facilitating New Employee Orientation and other classes as needed.
- Other duties:
o Participate on Project Teams and help develop and prepare training for new products, services, and upgrades.
o Visit branches to observe and coach Mentor/Coaches and Team Members.
o Print and assemble training materials.
o Set up classrooms for ILT classes.
o Assist Manager with conducting needs analysis to identify training opportunities and developing training programs to meet those needs.
o Provide assistance to needed administrative functions within the department.
o Assist in organizing and setting up New Employee Orientation, including preparing guides.
o Coordinate vendor trainings.
o Perform various other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Minimum one (1) year demonstrated experience facilitating training/coaching in a financial services or retail environment or two (2) years of college with emphasis in communications or business is required.
- Minimum one (1) year of demonstrated success in financial or retail products sales and service is required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience performing needs analysis, instructional design and development, learning facilitation and evaluation of learning programs or certification.
Preferred Experience
- Sales coaching experience preferred.
Skills, Education and/or Certifications Required
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Proactive individual whose delivery and demeanor promote a professional image.
- Must have working knowledge of current Windows OS and MS Office software, LMSs, and Zoom.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Understands and appreciates the relationship between internal customers and internal service providers.
- Passion for helping others grow, develop, and improve job performance.
