The Digital Payments Specialist role processes payments and exceptions in a manner that exceeds expectations. This position provides secure, effective, quick, and reliable transaction processing. Digital Payments Specialists ensure compliance with the Electronic Fund Transfer Act/Reg E and Texas Trust policy and procedures, as well as adhere to the “Greenbook” covering Government payments, SWACHA rules, and Fed regulations.
· Manage all Automated Clearing House (ACH) activity via Fedline software;
· Ensure daily transmission and accurate posting of ACH activity, including downloading, processing, and balancing all incoming ACH files per day, transmission of ACH returns, including daily exception items and entries;
· Administer and monitor IAT, International ACH transactions;
· Process all ACH origination transactions, including loan, A/P, and member transfer requests;
· Process all ACH stops, Notice of Change, Revocations, and Reclamations;
· Back-up daily chargeback deposits items received electronically from the Fed, including posting the chargeback transaction and sending corresponding member notification;
· Back-up for sending and receiving wire transfer activity via FedLine;
· Back-up for monitoring and posting international wire activity from Convera;
· Back-up coordination, balancing, and processing payroll for various sponsor organizations daily;
· Ensure General Ledger (GL) reconciliations are completed timely;
· Maintain and monitor reports;
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate, timely processing of payments and processes for members and the credit union;
· Process other Digital Payment methods as needed (Wires, Checks, third-party payments, etc.);
· Stay current on any changes with payment methods and regulations;

· Comply with established regulations and law requirements;

· Minimum one (3) year experience in a financial institution.
· High school graduate, equivalent, or demonstrated qualifying experience in business or accounting-related area;
· NACHA Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification preferred;
· Preferred working knowledge of current Windows OS and MS Office software;
· Self-starter who is able to work independently and collaboratively;
· Able to successfully work in a fast-paced office environment;
· Strong organization and attention to detail;
· Strong processing, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
· Strong listening and communication skills;
· Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality;
· Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to member satisfaction;
· Required to handle all member information in a confidential manner;
