Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Managing fuel transport drivers’ schedules and routes ensuring compliance with local, state and federal requirements

• Scheduling product to be picked up and delivered

Serve as central contact point for both fuel transport drivers and customers, coordinating load and unload process

• Manage and monitor customer fuel inventories based on customer defined requirements

• Responsible for multiple trucks, customers, drivers and routes, which requires extreme attention to detail

• Monitor trucks and drivers once they’re enroute, and help if an issue arises with a load or unload

• Monitor email and phones at all times

• Plan resources and be able to forecast at least 7 days out

• Documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries

• Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices

• Manage delivery time lines

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

1 year of relevant work experience

• Familiarity with DOT regulations for the transportation of hazardous materials

Strong customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff

• Excellent communication skills to clearly relay information to all involved parties

• Analytical skills to problem-solve and coordinate difficult situations

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed while sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing

• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations

• Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds at a time
