Position Description

The Assistant Registrar for Enrollment Technology and Data Integrations reports to the Associate Registrar for Enrollment Systems and Student Data Governance and provides hands-on functional and technical support for registrar and enrollment technology systems. This position configures, maintains, tests, documents, and improves systems and data processes that support admissions, registration, academic records, degree progress, student compliance, reporting, and enrollment operations. The position serves as a technical-functional analyst for registrar managed enrollment technologies. The role supports data integrations, API-enabled data retrieval, SQL-based data validation, field mapping, workflow configuration, duplicate resolution, reporting, and troubleshooting. This position works closely with the Associate Registrar, Registrar, schools, TTUS IT, TTUHSCEP IT, Institutional Research, Admissions, and other campus partners to translate business process needs into secure, accurate, FERPA-compliant technology solutions.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Serve as the technical-functional analyst for registrar and enrollment systems, including Banner Student, Slate CRM, DegreeWorks, Dynamic Forms, OSSSE electronic forms, TMDSAS/Liaison CAS or WebAdMIT data processes, and related enrollment technologies.
  • Configure, maintain, test, document, and troubleshoot registrar-managed systems to support admissions, registration, academic records, degree progress, compliance workflows, reporting, and enrollment operations.
  • Serve as a primary operational liaison between the Office of the Registrar, TTUS IT, TTUHSCEP IT, schools, Admissions, Institutional Research, vendors, and other campus partners for enrollment technology and student data issues.
  • Translate Registrar's Office and school-based business process needs into system requirements, workflows, reports, validation rules, data mappings, forms, and technical specifications.
  • Develop, maintain, validate, and troubleshoot data integrations between Banner Student, Slate, DegreeWorks, TMDSAS/Liaison CAS or WebAdMIT, and other approved systems using APIs, data exports, import processes, SQL queries, and other approved data exchange methods.
  • Create and maintain source-to-target data mapping documentation, integration specifications, reconciliation procedures, error reports, and recurring production process documentation.
  • Use SQL, reporting tools, and system query functionality to identify data discrepancies, support data cleanup, validate student and applicant records, and assist with operational and compliance reporting.
  • Support Slate CRM administration, including queries, forms, workflows, duplicate detection rules, population management, portals, dashboards, communications support, security roles, and application data processing.
  • Support Banner Student and DegreeWorks functionality, including configuration review, testing, issue resolution, data validation, encoding support, and coordination with IT or system owners for technical enhancements.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, production validation, release review, upgrade testing, and post-implementation troubleshooting for registrar and enrollment technology changes.
  • Support FERPA-compliant data access, role-based security, user access reviews, and appropriate use of student education records in assigned systems.
  • Provide training, documentation, and technical guidance to Registrar's Office staff, school-based users, and campus partners on system functionality, business processes, reporting tools, and data handling expectations.
  • Support strategic priorities of the Office of Student Services and Student Engagement as directed by the University Registrar or Associate Registrar.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices, including Regents Rules, TTUS policies, HSECEP OPs, and applicable institutional requirements.

  • Remain current with all licensure, certifications, mandatory compliance requirements, and trainings required of this position.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required and four years administrative or management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in information systems, data analytics, computer science, higher education administration, business administration, or related field.
  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data validation, data reconciliation, and query-based reporting.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or troubleshooting data integrations using APIs, REST APIs, JSON, XML, SFTP, scheduled data files, ETL processes, or similar data exchange methods.
  • Working knowledge of API-related programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, C#, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Banner Student, Slate CRM, DegreeWorks, Dynamic Forms, TMDSAS/Liaison CAS or WebAdMIT, or similar student information, CRM, degree audit, or application processing systems.
  • Experience translating higher education business processes into technical specifications, system configuration, workflows, data mappings, reports, dashboards, forms, or automation processes. 
  • Relevant technical certifications or formal training in SQL, database administration, API development, programming or scripting languages, cloud platforms, business intelligence, Slate, Banner, DegreeWorks, or related enrollment technology systems.
