What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Professor HSC, Part-Time, Family Medicine position at Texas Tech Univ Health Sciences Ctr?
The Department of Family and Community Medicine provides high quality health care and educational experiences. Working as a team of healthcare providers and educators, we advance a unique model of patient care characterized by comprehensive and integrated care of the whole person over time, tailored to the individual’s values and choices care of all ages, socio-economic statuses, ethnicity's, health statuses, and both genders Wellness and prevention relationships and collaborations based on active and open communication and trust wise and practical application of knowledge.
- Assesses patients by obtaining and reviewing health histories, assessing presenting illness and performing an appropriate physical examination;
- Educates patients on wellness, illness prevention and disease management;
- Prepares and completes timely and accurate documentation for medical records;
- Participates in quality improvement, continuing education and patient care programs established by the department, clinic and/or hospital; and
- Participates in the training and education of residents and medical students.
- MD, DO or Equivalent;
- Completion of USMLE Step 3;
- Completion of an ACGME Accredited Family Medicine Residency; and
- ABMS Board Certified in Family Medicine.
