What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst/Assoc/Professor Internal Medicine - Pulmonary/Critical Care position at Texas Tech Univ Health Sciences Ctr?
Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
- Analyze patient records, reports, test results, and examination information to diagnose the medical condition.
- Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care, including diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
- Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents through lectures and bedside training.
- MD, DO, or MBBS.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency.
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship.
- Board Certified, Board Eligible, or in the process of completing training to become Board Eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
- Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
