Position Description
The Department of Political Science seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in Public Administration. For information about our department, visit the Department of Political Science website.
Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.
Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such any need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.
Required Qualifications
- Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
