Key Responsibilities
- Design and review building electrical systems, including service entrance, secondary distribution, and branch circuits for large-scale commercial or institutional buildings
- Conduct load calculations, system sizing, and coordination studies to ensure reliable and code-compliant electrical distribution
- Prepare and review construction documents, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate electrical systems with other building disciplines
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and drafters
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation compliance with design and standards
- Ensure all designs comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- 5 years of experience in building electrical design and engineering
- Proficiency with electrical distribution in large buildings, including service entrance, secondary distribution, and related systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar electrical design software
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality engineering design
- Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with project teams
- Leadership or mentoring experience preferred
