Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Vice President for Strategic Enrollment, the Executive Director for Strategic Enrollment, provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction to develop, implement, and assess innovative recruitment, enrollment, and student pipeline initiatives that support the University’s mission and enrollment goals. This position is responsible for advancing the institution’s recruitment strategies, fostering strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring a data-informed approach to expanding and sustaining a diverse and academically talented student body.

Essential Duties Summary
- Develop and implement comprehensive enrollment and recruitment strategies aligned with institutional priorities and enrollment targets.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen the recruitment pipeline from high schools, community colleges, and non-traditional markets.
- Provide strategic analysis of enrollment trends and recommend actions to improve yield, retention, and student success outcomes.
- Oversee innovative recruitment initiatives for undergraduate and graduate programs, including digital campaigns, outreach events, and community partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organizations, and educational partners to enhance student pipelines.
- Collaborate with academic colleges to design discipline-specific recruitment strategies.
- Data-Driven Planning and the creation of a recruitment calendar based on predictive analytics and/or heatmaps
- Utilize enrollment analytics, market research, and predictive modeling to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Monitor recruitment outcomes and continuously improve effectiveness based on data insights.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (admissions, financial aid, marketing, academic colleges, and student services) to align recruitment efforts.
- Strengthen external partnerships with community colleges, regional organizations, and national recruitment networks.
- Supervise professional staff and provide leadership, coaching, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the enrollment team.
- Work closely with academic departments, student affairs, admissions, and other institutional areas to create a seamless transition and onboarding experience for incoming students.
- Manage a team, setting strategic goals, and ensuring that all programs align with the university’s broader mission related to producing productive student outcomes.
- Demonstrate and train professionalism and quality customer service in accordance with the University’s values. Foster positive working relationships and the ability to make decisions and solve problems. Maintain confidentiality, positive communication, accurate records, and an organized, safe working environment. Education
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in education, leadership, student support, or counseling is preferred. The degree must be from an accredited institution.
- A Terminal degree in a relevant field.
Required Licensing/Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Recruitment and Outreach
- Community College Systems, transfer admissions policies, etc.
- State, local and federal policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.
- Familiarity with enrollment marketing strategies, CRM software and outreach initiatives
- Familiarity with the sociological issues facing urban, underrepresented, first-generation, and income-needs persons in college and in the community.
- Student services-related technology and experience with student information systems.

Work Experience
Required:
- Five to ten years of higher education work experience.
- Five years of supervisory experience, and evidence of continual professional development in the field of concentration of Human Services, Education, or other closely related fields.
Preferred:
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in cross-functional areas.
- Experience in recruitment, marketing, academic advising, and student matriculation.
- A proven track record of successful strategic and transformational student enrollment initiatives.
