Position Summary

Texas Regional Physicians is seeking a highly motivated Physician Liaison & Business Development Specialist to expand our referral network and strengthen relationships with healthcare providers, physician groups, and commercial insurance organizations throughout our service area.

The ideal candidate will serve as a key ambassador for TRP, developing strategic partnerships with primary care providers, specialty physicians, insurance representatives, employer groups, and healthcare stakeholders to increase patient access and support organizational growth.

This role will have primary responsibility for driving referral growth and market awareness for TRP's specialty neuropathy and foot drop treatment programs, as well as Urgent Care ancillary services including Allergy Testing, Medical Weight Loss, Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), and future service line initiatives.

Duties And Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To)

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Primary Care Physicians, Cardiologists, Internal Medicine providers, specialty physicians, medical groups, and healthcare organizations throughout the service area.
  • Establish referral partnerships with Endocrinologists, Pulmonologists, Rheumatologists, Neurologists, and other specialty providers whose patient populations may benefit from TRP services.
  • Conduct regular physician office visits to educate providers on TRP's specialties, physicians, treatment pathways, and ancillary service offerings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referral partners and physician practices.
  • Promote awareness of neuropathy treatment, foot drop management, Allergy Testing, Medical Weight Loss, Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), and future service line offerings.
  • Identify opportunities to increase patient referrals through targeted outreach initiatives, provider education, and relationship development.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans focused on increasing referral volume across specialty and ancillary service lines.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support the successful launch, promotion, and growth of new clinical programs and services.
  • Research and analyze referral trends, market opportunities, competitive activity, and industry developments.
  • Monitor payer trends and assist leadership in identifying opportunities for network participation, expansion, and improved patient access.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive leadership teams to support organizational growth initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and market analyses for leadership as needed.
  • Represent Texas Regional Physicians at community events, healthcare conferences, networking functions, professional organizations, and industry meetings.
  • Promote TRP's mission, providers, services, and patient-centered approach throughout the community.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that enhance organizational visibility, referral growth, and patient access.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and business development skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare referral patterns, physician outreach, and provider relations.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance plans, healthcare networks, and payer relationships preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and build credibility with physicians, healthcare executives, insurance representatives, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare business development, physician relations, provider relations, healthcare marketing, insurance relations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with physician practices, healthcare organizations, managed care organizations, or commercial insurance carriers strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service area.
