Position Summary
A Quality Control Specialist is primarily responsible for performing reviews of new accounts and account maintenance changes to ensure the integrity of our customer account information within our core system. This includes reviewing required documentation and all applicable bank systems to ensure all accounts are in line with policies and regulatory requirements. QC Specialists must identify mistakes and log them to be remediated by appropriate personnel.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service and a positive banking experience for internal customers.
- Verify products, codes and customer’s information on new accounts and account changes in a timely manner.
- Add/clear items to/from the Quality Control Exception log and the File Maintenance Exception log.
- Review the New DDA & DDA File Maintenance reports daily.
- Review the New CD & CD File Maintenance reports daily.
- Review SDB, Debit Cards and CIF File Maintenance reports daily.
- Review Electronic Banking File Maintenance report daily.
- Review new stop payments put on the system.
- Scan any necessary documents into director in a timely manner.
- Respond to employees’ inquiries regarding their exceptions.
- Review ODP File Maintenance and Onboard advisor denials.
- Generate Exception Log Tracking Reports on a periodic basis.
- Mail out CD notices and truth in savings disclosures.
- Process and mail CD interest checks for the Bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Individual should be able to work under high-pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and should remain composed.
- Assure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations, which include BSA, CIP, and OFAC requirements as they apply to this particular job title/position.
- Willful blindness is not an option for any director, officer and/or employee of the Bank; and is understood by law where an individual seeks to avoid civil and criminal liability for a wrongful act (Any Illegal or Fraudulent Act) by intentionally putting him or herself in a position where the individual would be unaware of facts which would render otherwise any type of liability.
- Comply with federal and state regulations as wells as all established Bank policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
- A self-starting individual who possesses a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and at least one year of work experience.
- At least one (1) year of previous banking experience preferred.
- Skills should include basic keyboarding, typing 40-50 wpm, and knowledge of office equipment.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and 10-key calculator.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Mental concentration is required to perform concurrent tasks and meet deadlines while tolerating frequent interruptions.
- Must be available to work a 40-hour work week with flexible work schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
- Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.
