Oakwood Counseling is a growing, insurance-friendly outpatient practice serving Bryan, College Station, and the Brazos Valley since 2003. We are seeking a psychologist or neuropsychologist who values compassionate care, clinical excellence, and professional collaboration.

Opportunities may include psychotherapy, psychological testing, neuropsychological evaluation, or a combination of services based on your qualifications, clinical interests, and practice needs. We welcome clinicians serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and/or families within their areas of competence.

Full-time and part-time positions are available, with in-person and hybrid arrangements. The balance of office-based and telehealth services will depend on the role and the clinical requirements of the services provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and/or psychotherapy within your training and areas of competence.
• Deliver evidence-based services tailored to clients’ needs and treatment goals.
• Maintain an appropriate caseload and provide timely, client-centered care.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and reports within established timeframes.
• Conduct clinical risk assessments and respond appropriately to safety concerns.
• Coordinate care with physicians, schools, families, and other professionals when appropriate and authorized.
• Participate in consultation and collaboration with Oakwood clinicians and practice leadership.
• Maintain professional licensure, confidentiality, ethical standards, and required liability coverage.
  
  

Psychological and Neuropsychological Assessment

For Clinicians With Appropriate Specialized Training, Responsibilities May Include

• Selecting, administering, scoring, and interpreting assessment instruments.
• Evaluating psychological, cognitive, behavioral, learning, and/or neurodevelopmental concerns.
• Integrating clinical interviews, records, observations, and test results.
• Preparing comprehensive reports with diagnostic impressions and practical recommendations.
• Providing feedback to clients and, when appropriate and authorized, families and referring professionals.
• Consulting with other providers to support treatment planning and continuity of care.
  
  

Assessment responsibilities will be tailored to your demonstrated competence, credentialing, and practice needs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology from an appropriately accredited or recognized program.
• Current Texas psychologist license or eligibility for Texas licensure; appropriate licensure must be obtained before providing services.
• Training and clinical experience appropriate to the populations and services provided.
• For neuropsychology roles, specialized education and supervised clinical training in neuropsychological assessment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, compassionate care.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Ability to meet applicable insurance credentialing requirements.
  
  

Experience in outpatient or group practice, psychological testing, or specialized clinical populations is preferred.

Compensation

Earnings vary according to services provided, clinical workload, reimbursement, collections, and the agreed-upon compensation model.

Specific compensation terms, scheduling, caseload expectations, and position arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.
