What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Wet Utility Pipe Layer position at Texas Project Source?
TPS Civil Group is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Wet Utility Pipe Layer to join our team immediately.
We have a strong backlog of work and are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, works safely, and understands underground utility installation. This is not an entry-level position, experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Install water, sewer, and storm drain pipe according to plans and specifications
- Grade and prepare trenches for proper pipe installation
- Set pipe to proper line and grade using lasers and other equipment
- Install fittings, valves, manholes, and related utility structures
- Work alongside operators, foremen, and labor crews
- Follow OSHA safety standards and trench safety requirements
- Maintain quality workmanship and job site cleanliness
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of wet utility pipe laying experience (preferred)
- Experience with water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain installation
- Ability to read construction plans and grade stakes
- Knowledge of proper bedding, pipe alignment, and utility installation practices
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
