Overview
Texas Pit Stop BBQ is looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Server/Cashier to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying busy, and creating a welcoming experience for guests.
As one of the first points of contact for customers, you will help provide excellent customer service while assisting with front-counter operations, taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean dining area.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a positive and welcoming attitude
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash/card transactions
Answer phones and manage to-go orders, including phone orders and third-party delivery app orders
- Provide menu information and make recommendations when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked front-of-house area
- Deliver food to tables and ensure guest satisfaction
- Assist team members during busy periods
- Help maintain a friendly and efficient work environment
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Previous restaurant or cashier experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Requirements
- Texas Food Handler Certificate required
- Weekend and evening availability preferred
Pay
Start @ 9.00 per hour plus tips.
