Supervises, trains, and provides leadership to classified, hourly, Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) crews, and volunteer staff. Performs preventative maintenance/cleaning of facilities and grounds. Duties include and are not limited to mowing, trimming, garbage collection, preventative maintenance/cleaning of restrooms, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repairs, and vehicle maintenance. Operates and maintains various types of equipment including hand tools, power tools, mowers, tractors, heavy equipment, and trucks. Assists in purchasing supplies and materials, conducting special events, and revenue collection and accounting. Serves as the Additional Safety Officer for the park. Serves as the Back-Up Utility Plant Operator (UPO). Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
