Products designed by this position include: interior exhibit spaces, cabinetry and displays, graphic panels for interior and exterior exhibits, publications, flyers, illustrations, etc. This position works in a group setting but must be able to independently manage a complex workload of many projects running simultaneously with various deadlines. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelorand#8217;s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Art or closely related field. Experience:Five years experience in the design, visualization, development and implementation of exhibits and exhibit components or related experience such as trade shows, advertising, marketing or cartography. Licensure:Applicant Must possess or be able to obtain and hold within 30 days of employment, a Texas class and#8220;Cand#8221; driverand#8217;s license. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS:Education:One additional year of the required experience, may substitute for 30 hours of the required education, with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masterand#8217;s degree in Exhibit Design, Art, Graphic Design, 3D Modeling, Architecture or related field. Experience:Seven years experience in the design, visualization, development and implementation of exhibits and exhibit components.Five years experience adapting Geographic Information Services (GIS) data into graphic orientation maps in a park, outdoor recreation, or similar setting.
