Responsibilities include but are not limited to: cultural and natural resource stewardship; financial management, budget planning, preparation and monitoring; revenue management; human resources management; security and safety programs and maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds, and equipment. Coordinates and conducts work related to the overall management of the parkand#8217;s trail system. Supervises, trains, schedules, motivates, and evaluates volunteer workers. Oversees and performs maintenance and repairs of facilities, grounds, and equipment. Assists with customer service, public relations, marketing and promotion and interpretation and education programs. Organizes special events, community outreach, volunteer development and partnerships. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.NOTE: Salary range is limited to commissioned officers in the park management track prior to 9/1/2020. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelorand#8217;s degree.Experience:Three years of experience in (1) natural/cultural resource management; or (2) interpretation or education; or (3) general maintenance; or (4) public safety; or (5) promotions or public relations or marketing.One year of experience as a supervisor or team leader.NOTE: Experience may have occurred concurrently.Licensure:Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid class and#8220;Cand#8221; Texas driverand#8217;s license.NOTE: Retention of position contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required license.ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS:Education:TPWD employees hired prior to January 1, 1998, with no break in service and with a minimum of sixty semester hours may substitute two years of TPWD experience in park management, supervision or operations for the required degree.
