Program: Amarillo, Texas – Intake, Screening, & Crisis

Salary: $43,305.60 - $46,009.60 Annually

Shift available: Full-time

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • Provide initial screening and intake services for adult behavioral health clients. Conduct initial assessments to determine the person's eligibility and service needs. 
  • Conduct assessments in-person, over telehealth, and over the phone. 
  • Offer continuity of care, case management, and if licensed, counseling services to support client recovery. 
  • Collaborate with community partners and TPC team members to ensure access to supportive services. Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless delivery of services. 
  • Introduce clients to a range of services offered by our agency and facilitate access to these resources.
  • Document all services accurately, with completion required within 48 hours of service delivery. 

Maintain flexibility in therapeutic approaches using evidence-based practices. 

  • Implement person-centered approaches to empower clients in decision-making and goal setting.
  • Utilize trauma-informed care principles to create a safe and supportive environment for clients. 
  • Contribute to a cohesive treatment team with a strong focus on teamwork and coordination of care. 
  • Assist in scheduling client appointments and follow-up services. 
  • Actively support the development and improvement of agency procedures. 
  • Perform other essential functions and tasks necessary to carry out the purpose of the position.
  • Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns of ethical and/or business standards defined in the code if compromised

Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field for QMHP credentialing
  • For Case Manager II, minimum one (1) year of experience in behavioral health case management
  • For Case Manager III, minimum two (2) years of experience in behavioral health case management
  • Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for timely documentation. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Commitment to providing evidence-based care while using a trauma-informed and person-centered care
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university in social work, psychology, counseling, or related mental health field. 
  •  Two years of behavioral health case management experience in a community mental health setting.
