What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Verification Specialist position at Texas Pain Partners?
Candidate must exhibit an excellent work ethic, take the initiative to self-manage your work, be able to work independently in a busy team environment, and be able to multitask and adapt to change.
Responsibilities:
Obtains verification of insurance coverage and authorization from insurance for clinical visits and surgical procedures for patients
Communicates patient financial responsibility to the patient prior to the appointment.
Communicates necessary patient financial information with appropriate office and billing personnel in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Documents, within the practice management system, all required information to include financial responsibility.
Responsible for all pre-certs of surgeries, injections), MRI’s and DME
At least 4 year pre-cert experience required
Experience providing clinical over the phone and know how to read physician office notes.
Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two (4) years Pre-Certification experience required.
Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology; ICD-10 and CPT-4 Codes.
Excellent customer service skills Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer software and database skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
