Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Assists Vice President of Quality with meeting agendas, presentations and minutes.
  • Actively participates in assigned committees to ensure patient safety.
  • Assists with the establishment and maintenance of the hospital-wide Quality and Performance programs.
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all matters pertaining to patient/employee and hospital functions.
  • Acts as a Performance Improvement resource to Hospital and Medical Staff
  • Responsible for concurrent audits of patient charts. Inputs data for tracking, trending, and performance improvement purposes.
  • Prepares materials for committees assigned and reports follow up and tracking from committees in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in utilization of appropriate applications, including word processing and computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Meditech.
  • Ability to perform delegated tasks from start to finish, anticipating additional information or requests because of performance, and follow-up on any unfinished activities.
  • Prepares required reports, records, and schedules with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Exercises sound judgment when interacting with clients, visitors, medical staff, and hospital personnel.
  • Maintains own professional growth through relevant Inservice programs and other self-directed learning activities which promote growth in position responsibilities.
  • Maintains a positive attitude regarding position responsibilities, fellow employees, and supervision.
  • Participates in quality control and performance improvement activities within the Hospital.
  • Supports Medical Staff Office as needed (FPPE, OPPE, meeting presentations, meeting minutes, credentialing back-up)

What qualifications you will need:

  • RN licensed in the State of TX
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • 2 years preferred nursing experience
