Job Summary And Qualifications
This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience.
What you will do in this position:
- Utilizing food production sheets, prepares food products in accordance with standards.
- Utilizes standardized recipes for food preparation and quality control for Patients, Café, Dr. Lounge, and Special functions.
- Establishes portion controls using standardized recipes. Able to adjust or modify recipes per production needs
- Maintains HACCP standards for sanitation in the preparation of all food products.
- Responsible for receiving vendors and insuring items are of the correct temp and quality.
- Maintains equipment and work areas in a sanitary and safe condition.
- Adheres to cleaning schedules for all equipment and food preparation areas.
- Provides routine maintenance of all equipment with reporting of problems to Manager or Director.
- Uses equipment in the kitchen effectively and safely.
- Follows standardized recipes accurately in preparing all food products.
- Utilizes principles of infection control and sanitation in the preparation, serving, and storage of food products.
- Utilizes basic mathematical calculations accurately in preparing food and figuring food cost per portion.
- Minimize waste to Maximize food Cost
- Utilizes appropriate safety and sanitation principles in the provision of services.
- Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in the moving and lifting of supplies and equipment.
- Utilizes appropriate precautions related to infection control in relation to maintenance of equipment, supplies, the environment, and personal hygiene activities.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing to fulfill position responsibilities.
- Actively participates in the Quality Improvement Program for the Department.
- Maintains own professional growth through appropriate inservice programs and other related education.
- In collaboration with the Manager, cook II establishes priorities for activities based on work demand.
