Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients requiring complex monitoring and interventions
- Perform assessments, develop care plans, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
- Administer medications, manage drips, and operate advanced monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to deliver safe, effective outcomes
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations
- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Required
- Active RN license in Florida or Compact state (Compact license holders must obtain FL license within 60 days of relocation)
- At least 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 3 years); higher acuity than Med-Surg preferred, but strong Med-Surg candidates considered
- ADN or Diploma in Nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications (within 30 days of hire)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse – Adult) within 1 year of hire
- BSN degree
- Prior ICU or MICU experience in a high-acuity setting
- Competitive hourly pay with differentials
