General Purpose: Provide efficient administrative assistance to members of the Member Services Department and TML affiliate associations and members.
Work Schedule: Workweek will likely be available for hybrid work.
Supervisory Functions: No supervisory responsibilities.
Salary Range: $50,000
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
· Work individually with members of the Member Services Department
· Provide administrative assistance to members of the Member Services Department
· Assist in responding, both orally and in writing, to inquiries from affiliates
· Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating training events, both onsite and virtual
· Assist with membership processes, board and committee activities, and administrative services
· Assist with the editing, writing, and production of publications, e-newsletters, videos, brochures,
websites, mass emails, and other communications
· Assist with research and prepare related reports on assigned subject matter
· Maintain office supplies
· Prepare purchase orders
· Requires basic understanding of budgets
· Requires regular and reliable attendance on the job
· Requires the ability to work flexible hours
· Periodic out-of-town and overnight travel required
· Assists the Member Services Department with such other duties as may be assigned
Job Qualifications/Knowledge
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Skilled in the use of technology, including computers and websites
· Proficient in Microsoft 365 apps (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
· Ability to grasp the issues of concern to Texas city officials and cities

Job Qualifications/Education/Experience
· Requires a four-year college level of language, math, and reasoning skills
· Experience with boards, commissions, and committees is desirable
· Requires a valid Texas Driver's License
Work Environment/Physical Activities
- The job requires limited physical effort. It is a desk assignment with out-office execution and management of assigned educational events, including the set-up of conferences and meetings. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time during events and lift up to 30 pounds if needed. The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations.
