Position Overview
The role involves frequent communication with Members via phone and email to handle coverage-related inquiries, process coverage changes, and ensure the accurate generation of documents. The position also includes data entry and analysis to ensure the accuracy of re-ratings and audits for workers' compensation coverage, contributing to the overall integrity of Member accounts.
Required Responsibilities*
Performs Multi-line rating functions for annual contract re-rates and proposals.
Prepares proposals and quotes for potential customers, ensuring coverage details align with Member needs.
Responds to Member inquiries via phone and email, providing answers to coverage-related questions and conducting research when necessary. Organizes and maintains files for Endorsements, Certificates of Coverage, and Rerate Documents in both physical and electronic formats.
Collaborates with the assigned underwriter on Member accounts, ensuring smooth communication and workflow.
Coordinates with third-party vendors to gather necessary information for processing policy change requests and ensure coverage accuracy.
Performs quality checks on audits provided by external auditors, making adjustments where needed to ensure accuracy.
Participates in internal meetings to discuss updates to coverage and departmental or company changes.
Process property valuations, ensuring they are accurately recorded and integrated into Member coverage.
Verify and cross-check data across multiple sources to maintain data integrity and identify any discrepancies that may affect underwriting decisions.

Physical Requirements
Be able to withstand typical office work that includes periods of sitting, standing, typing, etc. indoors while potentially performing job tasks in close proximity to other people.
In addition to typical office work, must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, visual inspection, assembly of parts, or extensive reading.
Ability to have a flexible work schedule to meet business needs and be at work on-site during specified or core hours.
Must be able to operate standard computer hardware.

Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Years of Experience: 2 to 4
Area of Experience: Insurance Underwriting, Customer Service
Preferred
B.A. or B.S. degree in Insurance, Business, or related field
Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from AICPCU/IIA
Associate in Insurance (AINS) designation from AICPCU/IIA
Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation from AICPCU/IIA
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation
Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation from Risk & Insurance Education Alliance
