Duties
- Verify and compile provider credentials, licenses, certifications, and other required documentation
- Manage the credentialing process for new and existing healthcare providers in accordance with NCQA standards
- Maintain up-to-date records of provider credentials and re-credentialing schedules
- Coordinate with insurance companies, managed care organizations, and other external entities to facilitate credentialing approvals
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to credentialing and provider enrollment
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and accreditation reviews
- Collaborate with the medical office team to ensure seamless integration of credentialing activities into daily operations
- Monitor changes in industry regulations that impact credentialing procedures
Skills
- Strong knowledge of managed care processes and insurance credentialing requirements
- Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare documentation
