Texas Medical Marijuana Doctors is a premier Medical Marijuana Corporation based in Texas. Our primary goal is assisting patients find alternative pathways to a healthier living due to the new legislature, as well as the upcoming legislative session. We are seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner with experience in Oncology to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.
We are a Texas medical practice pioneering the medical cannabis industry and have the opportunity to add an additional nurse practitioner to our team. The NP will be responsible for providing recommendations for our patients and works in collaboration with our practice administrator and providers. Our practice is both tele heath and outpatient medicine and we see patients Mon-Fri. This is a position with no need to provide your own staff, procedures, overhead or scheduling issues.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine TMMD check-ups to patients to assess their health condition and determine if medical marijuana is a viable fit for them.
- Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
- Prescribe medical marijuana and/or low THC and provide comprehensive instructions for administration
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
Skills
- Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
- Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms and epidemiology
- Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications
- In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $400.00 - $500.00 per day
