Overview
We are looking for an Outside Sales Account Representative for Texas Johns. This position is located in Houston, TX and will be covering the Houston area. We are a young company looking for an individual that wants tremendous growth potential and opportunity as we grow. This individual must be self-motivated as a supervisor oversight is limited. We are a locally owned portable toilet sanitation service company and looking for a self-motivated, hard-working and personable individual to join our growing team and growth path in Houston, TX.
Duties:
-Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
-Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
-Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
-Demonstrates the functions and utility of products and services to customers based on their needs.
-Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
-Maintains detailed reports and records of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
-Researching competitor’s services, products and pricing as well as market conditions
-Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Manage territory sales by identifying opportunities within assigned regions.
-Utilize effective sales techniques to meet or exceed sales targets.
-Collaborate with inside sales teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
-Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
-Prepare and present sales proposals tailored to client needs.
-Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the company software.
Required Skills:
-Experience in construction and special events; familiarity with construction sites.
-Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
-Strong consultative sales skills.
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Familiarity with CRM software and construction lead generation software.
-Proficient with Microsoft Suite or related software.
-Proven experience in retail or territory sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
-Strong lead generation skills with the ability to identify potential customers.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with clients.
-Familiarity with customer service principles and practices.
-Ability to manage multiple accounts effectively while prioritizing tasks.
-Proficiency in using software tools for tracking sales activities and managing customer data.
-A self-starter attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
-High school diploma or GED.
-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or related field a plus.
-At least 2 years of related experience required
-Compensation package will be comprised of a base salary, plus an aggressive commission schedule with tremendous opportunity, with PTO allowance and certain holidays paid, phone allowance, possible vehicle/vehicle allowance, employee health benefits, 401(K) retirement plan.
