Role Description
The Marketing Specialist will support all marketing and business development initiatives for our internal pipe coating operations serving the oil and gas industry. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of industrial coatings, line pipe, OCTG, and related services. The Marketing Specialist will assist in identifying new business opportunities, supporting customer relationships, and executing marketing activities that align with the company’s growth objectives.
Applicants must provide a marketing portfolio showcasing previous work, such as campaign materials, social media content, branding projects, presentations, graphics, writing samples, or any relevant marketing deliverables that demonstrate their skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing marketing plans to strengthen our presence in the oil and gas coatings market.
- Research potential customer accounts in midstream, upstream, and downstream sectors.
- Conduct competitive analysis on pricing, technologies, and market trends to support strategic positioning.
- Help create targeted marketing campaigns promoting internal pipe coating, threading, and related services.
- Support the maintenance of relationships with EPCs, operators, distributors, and coating contractors.
- Assist with coordinating customer technical presentations, meetings, and plant tours.
- Serve as a supporting marketing contact for customer communications.
- Assist in creating and managing marketing materials including brochures, presentations, datasheets, social media graphics, and case studies.
- Support website updates, SEO initiatives, and social media efforts to drive engagement and inquiries.
- Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing platforms.
- Work with technical and operations teams to gather information needed to market coating solutions (FBE, liquid epoxy, internal linings, etc.).
- Assist in preparing RFQs, quotes, and project proposals by coordinating technical and commercial details.
- Support trade show preparations, industry conferences, and customer events.
- Assist in developing and tracking KPIs for marketing performance, lead generation, and campaign effectiveness.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly summaries of marketing activities, market insights, and opportunity tracking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in marketing, business development support, or technical sales support—preferably within oil & gas, coatings, or industrial manufacturing.
- Understanding of internal and external pipe coating processes (FBE, liquid epoxy, phenolic, cement lining) is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to travel domestically as needed for trade shows, customer visits, and field support.
- Knowledge of API, NACE, and ISO standards related to pipeline coatings (preferred)
- Experience assisting with bids, RFQs, or project documentation. (preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP or project management software. (preferred)
- Strong technical writing ability for datasheets, marketing collateral, and customer communications.

Schedule:
- This is a hybrid role and requires the employee to work in the office one (1) day per week, with the remaining time remote. Additional on-site days may be required for meetings, customer visits, or special projects.
