- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular assessments to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and delivery terms for materials.
- Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with procurement strategies.
- Utilize scheduling software to track progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Prepare reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and production schedules for management review.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in scheduling and purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling and inventory management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
- Ability to make timely fact based decisions, shows good judgement.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles is a plus.
