At Hydromotion, we don't just manufacture products—we solve complex engineering challenges for customers around the world. Behind every product, every process improvement, and every business decision is data that helps us understand where we've been and where we're going.

We're looking for a Senior Cost Accountant who enjoys digging into the details, understanding the story behind the numbers, and partnering with leaders to drive better business decisions. This role is more than month-end close and financial reporting. You'll serve as a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, and Leadership while helping shape the financial performance of the organization.

If you enjoy connecting financial results to operational reality, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Do

Business Partnership & Analysis

Cost Accounting & Inventory Management

  • Analyze product costs, margins, and inventory valuation
  • Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory
  • Manage inventory reconciliations and excess/obsolete reserve calculations

Financial Reporting & Controls

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support audits and compliance requirements
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial discipline

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with leaders across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Commercial teams
  • Support capital investment analysis and justification reviews
  • Drive alignment toward business and financial goals
  • Help improve processes, reporting, and overall business performance

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable working in spreadsheets, on the production floor, and in conversations with business leaders.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to research and apply accounting guidance appropriately
  • Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, product costing, and financial analysis
  • Oracle experience strongly preferred; experience with large-scale ERP systems required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Commercial, and Leadership teams
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of manufacturing operations and profitability drivers
  • High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy

Why You'll Like This Role

  • Opportunity to serve as a key business partner to Operations and Leadership
  • Direct influence on decisions that impact profitability and business performance
  • Exposure to manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborative environment where your insights help drive results
  • Opportunity to work closely with leaders across multiple functions
