What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler I position at Texas Hydraulics Inc?
This position is full-time and the employee may be assigned various lines/plant locations based on company need. Employees assemble hydraulic cylinders, partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor. Assembler I hires will fill one of two distinct roles in production: Cleaners and Washers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Cleaners:
- Review documents issued by production control (Travelers) and pull materials from welding production area
- Validate pulled parts match with the Traveler for each specific work order
- Removes weld splatter with hand files and scrapers
- Confirm result confirms to documented requirements
- Prepare materials for transfer to next stage of production (Washing)
- Other duties as assigned
Washers:
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints
- Wash and inspect parts for debris/defects
- Stamp material to match with assigned numbers from the Traveler
- Install valves and plugs
- Confirm component confirms to documented requirements
- Prepare materials for transfer to next stage of production (Assembly II)
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Training/ Experience:
- High School diploma/ GED with zero to six months related experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrate Math proficiency as it relates to this job
- Able to move operate in an up-tempo environment with defined goals for work production
