About Texas HR Team
Texas HR Team partners with growing businesses to provide practical, strategic HR solutions that help organizations build stronger teams and better workplaces. As our client base continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced HR Generalist who enjoys variety, thrives in a consulting environment, and is excited to support multiple clients across a wide range of HR needs.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who values flexibility, enjoys solving different HR challenges every day, and is excited to support both strategic initiatives and the operational details that make HR run smoothly.
About the Role
As an HR Consultant, you'll serve as an extension of our clients' teams, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on HR support. One day you may be advising a leadership team on employee relations or organizational changes. The next, you may be building processes, updating HR systems, drafting policies, or helping implement a new onboarding program.
As a Consulting firm, our workload naturally ebbs and flows throughout the year. During busy seasons, you may work up to 40 hours per week. During slower periods, hours may average closer to 10 per week. We're looking for someone who values this flexibility and is comfortable adapting as client needs evolve.
What You'll Do
- Partner with clients on day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplacebest practices.
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Develop and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR documentation.
- Support HR compliance and employment law initiatives.
- Build, improve, and maintain HR systems, processes, and workflows.
- Help clients optimize HR operations for efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with business leaders to solve people challenges with practical, business-focused solutions.
- Balance multiple client projects while maintaining exceptional service and responsiveness.
What We're Looking For
- 5-7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, with experience supporting multiple functions of HR, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, onboarding, and HR operations.
- Strong understanding of HR systems, processes, and operational best practices.
- Ability to think strategically while also rolling up your sleeves to execute.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-starter who enjoys working independently and managing competing priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment where priorities may shift.
Bonus Points
- HR consulting or outsourced HR experience.
- Experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience implementing or managing payroll and HRIS platforms.
Why You'll Love Working With Us
- Flexible schedule that works around business needs.
- Opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and industries.
- Meaningful work where you'll make a direct impact on growing businesses.
- Collaborative, supportive team that values expertise, initiative, and continuous learning.
- Variety in your work. No two weeks look exactly the same.
If you're an HR professional who enjoys both strategy and execution, loves solving new challenges, and appreciates the flexibility that comes with consulting, we'd love to hear from you!
