Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Residency – July 2026
Come and join our LVN Residency Program! We invite graduate LVN’s to apply for this unique opportunity. The next cohort will begin on July 13, 2026.
Integrated into a Hospital’s education structure, the Texas Health LVN Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, but they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care.
The Texas Health LVN Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new LVN’s an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills, and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life.

Work environment: Medical Surg
Work hours: Upon completion of the Residency, anticipated hours will be full-time, (3)-12-hour shifts; rotating weekends, holidays, and on call shifts required
Department Highlights:
Harris 6 Acute Medical (H6F) is a 38-bed General Medicine Residency Unit. Patients are admitted inpatient or admitted for observation to this unit directly from home, Physician’s Office, Emergency Department, transferred from other units within the hospital, or transferred from other healthcare facilities. The ratio for day shift is 4-5:1 and night shift 5-6:1. Harris 6 is a fast-paced unit where one gain basic nursing skills and grow your career.
