Come and join our Graduate Nurse Residency Program! We invite new graduate RNs to apply for this unique opportunity. The next cohort will begin on October 19, 2026.
Integrated into a Hospital’s education structure, the Texas Health Graduate Nurse Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, but they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care.
The Texas Health Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new graduate nurses an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life.
Where you will be working:
• Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth; 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76104
• Work environment: Emergency Department (ED)
• Work hours: Upon completion of the Residency, anticipated hours will be full-time, (3)-12-hour shifts; rotating weekends, holidays, and on call shifts required
Department Highlights:
In January 2014, Texas Health Fort Worth opened a new 75,000 square foot Emergency Services Center, one of the largest in the region. Our Emergency Department is a 112 bed, Level I Trauma Center. THFW ED is a fast paced, high-volume department who strives to be the ED of choice.
We evaluate and treat patients with minor care needs to those who present with critical injuries and illnesses. We have three different areas of the ED to see these patients; Quick Care, Diagnostic and Emergent which we utilize for different levels of acuity.
