What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Texas Health Care PLCC?
Duties:
Qualified applicants may be responsible for greeting patients, entering new patient information, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance coverage, answering telephones, scheduling appointments on the computer, collecting co-payments, and various other clerical duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
Applicants must have at minimum one year previous medical front office experience preferably in Orthopedics. Qualified candidates must have excellent people and telephone skills and be familiar with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, and various insurance plans. You must have excellent typing and math skills, ten key by touch, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. NextGen EPM/EMR experience is a plus. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
