Brief Job Description
Responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing document service center requests. Performs skilled reproduction and bindery work using equipment such as, but not limited to copier equipment, folder, collator, bindery equipment, etc. Serves as lead for the Document Services Center and supervise the work of others. Perform or assist with mail and warehouse duties. Drives vehicle and maintains agency vehicle maintenance logs. Compiles statistical reports and performs other duties as requested. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Able to work in various environments outside and inside.
Essentual Job Functions
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Copy/reproduce and delivers printed materials to customers. Sets-up and operates equipment (i.e., copier equipment, folder, collator, copier, bindery machine, etc.) (50%)
Performs troubleshooting activities related to the flow of documents/mail through the document service center and implements the best solution to address issues. (15%)
Maintains logs for tracking purposes of document services and mail activities. (10%)
Inspects equipment and vehicles to ensure proper maintenance/operating condition, and performs minor repairs. Complete and submit vehicle reports (mileage, fuel usages, etc.). (10%)
Sorts and routes all mail to appropriate staff. Physically receives, signs for and inspects packages received in the mail room or warehouse and ensure timely distribution to appropriate personnel. (10%)
Orders and maintains adequate inventory of supplies to continue mail and copy/reproduce operations. (5%)
Licensure, Certification Or Registration Required
Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
Skill in the use of standard agency computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Skill in managing multiple priorities.
Skill in prioritizing and organizing work assignments.
Ability to operate specialized equipment such as a copier equipment, folder, collator, bindery equipment, postage equipment, etc.
Ability to operate motor vehicles including panel truck and cargo van and pull a trailer in accordance with local, State and Federal traffic regulations.
Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, dolly, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to compile data and make simple arithmetic computations and tabulations.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
Ability to travel locally and across the state which may include overnight stays.
Inital Screening
High School diploma or GED is required. Preferred experience operating specialized equipment such as a copy machines, bindery equipment and postage equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in writing as demonstrated in the application. Skill in computer usage including Microsoft Office Suite.
