Job Summary
Texas Gun Ranch is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Front Counter / Member Services Associate to serve as the first point of contact for our members and guests. This role is essential to daily operations and requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, comfortable handling transactions, and passionate about providing an exceptional club experience.
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to: Club Manager / Operations Manager
- Works closely with: Range Staff, Instructors, Pro Shop, and Management
Day-to-Day Operations
- Greet members and guests in a professional and welcoming manner
- Check members and guests in using the club’s membership system
- Process daily transactions using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system
- Sell ammunition, merchandise, memberships, and services
- Answer phones, respond to basic inquiries, and provide general club information
- Ensure all waivers, forms, and required documentation are completed accurately
- Maintain accurate cash handling and end-of-day drawer reconciliation
- Monitor clubhouse traffic and assist with guest flow during busy periods
Additional Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clubhouse and front counter area
- Restock merchandise, ammo displays, and retail items as needed
- Assist with special events, tournaments, and member activities
- Communicate effectively with range staff regarding guest needs or concerns
- Follow all safety, club policies, and operational procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall club operations
About You (Qualifications & Skills)
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Provide excellent customer service in a professional club environment
- Learn and confidently use a POS and membership management system
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and basic accounting procedures
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with members, guests, and staff
- Stay organized and maintain attention to detail
- Multitask and remain calm during high-volume or peak business hours
- Work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (but not required):
- Prior customer service, retail, or front desk experience
- Familiarity with firearms, ammunition, or shooting sports
- Experience working in a club, hospitality, or recreational setting
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (ammo cases, merchandise, supplies)
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the clubhouse as needed
- Ability to work in a moderately loud environment
Work Schedule
- Full-Time Position
- Wednesday through Sunday
- Hours: 9:00AM – 6:00PM
- Club is closed Mondays and Tuesdays
- Overtime opportunities available during busy seasons, events, and peak times
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
